A visit to the City of York is
a must, with its majestic Minster, the world famous National
Railway Museum, the fascinating Castle Museum and haunting
Cliffords Tower to name but a few of the many things to see
and do. |

Whether it be your choice to take a
stroll down the many alleys and snickel ways located
throughout the city, walking the 2.7 miles of city walls with
wonderful views of the city, going back further in time at the Jorvik
Viking Centre for a glimpse of Viking York or taking a leisurely
cruise on the River Ouse, there is something to satisfy everyone in
York. Many of the shops in York are individual and unique and are set
in beautiful historic streets such as the Shambles and Stonegate.

PARK & RIDE - YORK
On a visit to York we strongly
recommend using the Park & Ride scheme. There are
several located on the outskirts of York, the nearest one for
Raskelf being at Rawcliffe Bar located off the roundabout at the
junction of the A19/A1237 on the outer ring road.
