A short stroll in the village will take visitors past the old red brick Pound or Pinfold, dating back to the 17th century and used historically to keep stray cattle and sheep in safety until claimed back by their owners, to the beautiful church of St Mary with its 15th century wooden tower, unique in Yorkshire.
